LabWired ("LabWired", "we", "us") provides a deterministic firmware simulator and the tools built around it: the web playground at app.labwired.com, the open-source simulator core, a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at api.labwired.com/mcp, and the LabWired app for ChatGPT. This policy explains what data we handle and why. Questions: contact@labwired.com.

What we collect

Account & sign-in data. When you connect to LabWired (including through ChatGPT) we authenticate you with OAuth. We receive a user identifier and, depending on your provider, your email address. We do not receive or store your provider password.
Content you submit. Firmware binaries, source code, board/diagram definitions, and prompts you send to run in the simulator. This content is processed to produce a simulation result and return it to you.
Service & technical data. Logs needed to operate and secure the service — request metadata, timestamps, IP address, error traces, and basic usage counts.
Website analytics. Our marketing pages use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic. The playground and MCP server are not part of that analytics scope.
Submitted build descriptions. When you submit the main build form on our landing page, we may retain the description (limited to 500 characters) for product improvement and show it to allowlisted administrators. This event is not joined to an email address or user identity, and it is not recorded when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled.

How we use it

To run your simulations and return results.
To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service and prevent abuse.
To respond to you when you contact us.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use the firmware or source code you submit to train AI models.

When you use LabWired through ChatGPT

The LabWired app for ChatGPT runs as an MCP connector. When you invoke it, ChatGPT (OpenAI) transmits your request to our MCP server, we process it, and we return the result for display. OpenAI's handling of your ChatGPT conversation is governed by OpenAI's privacy policy. LabWired only receives the data needed to fulfil the tool call you made.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run LabWired, under their respective terms:

Hosting & infrastructure (e.g. Cloudflare and our compute provider) to serve the site, playground, and MCP server.
Analytics (Google Analytics) for aggregate website traffic.
OpenAI, as the client application, when you use LabWired inside ChatGPT.

We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of LabWired and its users.

Retention

Simulation inputs are processed to generate your result and are not retained as a long-term record of your designs. Operational logs are kept only as long as needed to run and secure the service, then deleted or aggregated.

Security

Connections are encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and access is authenticated via OAuth. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Your rights

You can request access to, or deletion of, the personal data we hold about you by emailing contact@labwired.com. Depending on your location (for example under the GDPR), you may have additional rights to correct, restrict, or port your data; we will honour applicable requests.

Children

LabWired is a developer tool intended for a general, technical audience and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
