360° Scanning Lidar

A registered peripheral model runs in the engine: the firmware talks to it over the real bus and gets device-accurate responses.

What is simulated

Simulated device model

How it was validated

Checked against a capture. Compared against a recorded trace or capture from real hardware, with the record kept in the repository.

Raw 22.16 s capture of a physical scanner RX line at 230400 8N1 (306 098 bytes, 3 794 frames, 0 checksum rejects, 89 331 samples). Replayed by core/crates/core/tests/ydlidar_silicon_parity.rs: all 3 794 frames decoded and re-encoded byte-identical, plus the three format properties a decoder cannot see (always-set angle check bit, quarter-millimetre distances, 6-bit intensity stored <<2). Provenance: core/crates/core/tests/fixtures/ydlidar/PROVENANCE.md. Scene geometry is modelled, not captured — the capture gates the wire format only.
