An ESP32-C3 simulator for real RISC-V firmware
LabWired runs ESP32-C3 firmware on a simulated ESP32-C3 Super Mini, in the browser and in CI.
The lab below is a home air-quality monitor. CO₂, VOC, dust and light sensors feed a plain-language verdict on an OLED.

What is simulated
- GPIO, UART, timers, interrupts, I²C, SPI, ADC and PWM. A booting firmware drives each one in CI.
- Real sensor drivers decode values over I²C: Sensirion SCD41, SGP41 and SPS30, Melexis MLX90614 and Vishay VEML7700 (nightly CI).
- A shared simulated 802.11 medium and a MAC bridge, which two C3 firmwares associate over (unit-tested).
What is left out
We list the gaps so you know when to reach for a bench.
- Clock and DMA are declarative register files with no behavioural engine.
- The cache and RNG blocks are modelled but never exercised.
- Crypto, USB device, I2S, UHCI and the radio registers are not yet swept into the fidelity ledger. Do not rely on them in CI.
- Wi-Fi is a simulated network, not RF. Nothing here certifies the PHY.
