A hobby servo simulator driven by your PWM

A hobby servo keys off the high-pulse width of a 50 Hz signal. LabWired measures that pulse from real pin edges, or from the PWM peripheral, and turns it into a shaft angle.

There is no curated servo lab yet, so this page has no live embed. Add a servo from the parts bin in the Playground.

What is simulated

• Duty is measured as high time over frame time, so it does not depend on host speed.
• Pulse width maps to 0–180°, clamped at the ends of travel. Standard (1.0–2.0 ms), SG90 (0.5–2.4 ms) and MG996R calibrations are in the model.
• On the ESP32, a servo follows only the LEDC channel the GPIO matrix routes to its pad, so four servos on four channels move independently.

What is left out

We list the gaps so you know when to reach for a bench.

• The shaft goes straight to the commanded angle. There is no travel time, torque, load or stall.
