DFPlayer Mini MP3 Module

The DFPlayer Mini MP3 Module is a board I/O module in the LabWired part catalog. Its catalog type is dfplayer-mini. It connects to the MCU over GPIO. The catalog gives a supply range of 3.2–5 V. It has 16 pins. A registered peripheral model runs in the engine: the firmware talks to it over the real bus and gets device-accurate responses.

From the catalog: Decodes the 10-byte serial frames (9600 8N1, checksum checked) from the RX pad, so hardware UART and SoftwareSerial both work. Play (0x03) drives BUSY LOW for a constant 1 s clip; volume (0x06) is stored; pause/stop release BUSY. No SD card, no MP3 decoding and no audio on SPK_1/SPK_2; TX sends no replies.

How to simulate the DFPlayer Mini MP3 Module in LabWired

  1. Open the Playground at app.labwired.com and place an MCU board.
  2. Add the DFPlayer Mini MP3 Module (catalog type dfplayer-mini).
  3. Connect VCC, GND and GND2 to the supply and ground of the board. Use a supply inside the catalog range of 3.2–5 V.
  4. Connect RX, TX and BUSY to free GPIO pins.
  5. Connect DAC_R, DAC_L, SPK_1, SPK_2, IO_1, IO_2, ADKEY_1, ADKEY_2, USB+ and USB- as your circuit needs.
  6. Run the firmware. It drives and reads the pins of the part, and the device model responds on those pins.
